Silver Symphony by Pan Hesekiel Shiroi

"A female snow leopard dancing in her own pace under water falling down with a very special melody in mind."
My entry for the contest of Cottondragon.
I wanted to draw a piece that fits the title "Silver Symphony" and had already the rough color concept for it in my mind ... but I didn't know how the finished piece should look like. After I listened to the song "L'aprés midi" (Amelie) I just thought "That's it!". I saw this piece in my mind as you can see it now (I know that I'm crazy, so there's no need to tell me that. ;P).
So I decided to draw and to participate in Cottondragon's contest (originally I had no intention of joining, but after I got inspired by this song I thought I'd give it a try).
Anyways, here we go again with the "Art Nouveau" (Jugendstil) theme. I hope you like it. :)

Medium: ink pen, marker, colored pencil & silver acrylics on dyed paper
Tags: snow leopard art nouveau
Bewitching blue by Pan Hesekiel Shiroi

A few days ago I looked through my unframed pictures and my frames to see for which pictures I already have a matching frame. One of those frames was a black and oval one. When I looked at it, I got inspired to draw this picture. :)
It's my first time drawing/painting a silver fox and it almost drove me crazy ... But I'm quite satisfied with the outcome now, even though there are still some mistakes in it. :/
Scanning this picture was a pain in the ass (because of the black fur), so the version you can see here is no match to the original ...
Anyways, I hope you like it. :)

EDITEDIT: It's for sale on FurBuy now, please click the following link for more information: http://www.furbuy.com/auctions/1007630.html

Watchful eyes by Pan Hesekiel Shiroi

Don't underestimate him just because he's small. ;)
Another picture I drew at Cheetahs place. Drawing this one was, literally spoken, a pain in the ass because I sat on the floor the whole time ...
Anyways, a fennec - and again fitting for the theme of EF 15 (1001 Arabian Nights).
Well, there are some (-> a lot of) mistakes in this picture but I still like it somehow ...
What do you think?

Medium: mechanical pencil and white colored pencil on dyed bristol paper
Tags: fennec
Actually, I just wanted to paint again with my bamboo brushes because I really like the not completely clean lines.
Well then, my victim was Chaoskobra, a really nice person and a good artist as well (some kind of a little thank you for her wonderful gift art).

Yet another really simple painted panda. I really do enjoy doing those (I love my new bamboo brushes)! Because I'm simply doodling around and having fun. :)

So, enjoy! ;)

Medium: acrylic inks on watercolor paper
Tags: red panda
Today I went to Boesner (an artist wholesale place) and got some new drawing and painting equipment there. I finally have some bamboo brushes now and while fooling around with them to see how they work I painted this picture.

Grey autumn by Pan Hesekiel Shiroi

I originally planned to simply practice how to draw lynxes because Furball (who got the Kiribian) wanted his ACEO illustrated with a lynx.
But somehow I thought it would be a pity if this image would remain as some crappy sketch. So I decided to add a background to it.
I'm quite satisfied with the outcome but I'm very frustrated about the bad scan as well. The white fur is nearly not visible and the background looks somehow corny on the scan (on the original image it looks smooth). :<
Regarding the size of this picture (11,5x16cm, about 4,5"x6,3") it took me quite long to finish it.
Aaaand a big thank you to Tekumseh for letting me use his great photos as references!

Medium: mechanical pencil and a pure graphite pencil on some crappy, cheap paper
Tags:
But somehow I thought it would be a pity if this image would remain as some crappy sketch. So I decided to add a background to it.
I'm quite satisfied with the outcome but I'm very frustrated about the bad scan as well. The white fur is nearly not visible and the background looks somehow corny on the scan (on the original image it looks smooth). :<
Regarding the size of this picture (11,5x16cm, about 4,5"x6,3") it took me quite long to finish it.
Aaaand a big thank you to Tekumseh for letting me use his great photos as references!

Alopex lagopus by Pan Hesekiel Shiroi

I know I should be working on commissions right now but because the day of St Nicolas is drawing near I had to finish this one first. It's a little gift for my beloved fox. :)
I know that he's never looking at my galleries (he always expects that I show him the original) that's why I decided to upload this piece before the 6.12.
So, as you can already see it's a simple wild life drawing of an arctic fox. O.k, it's my first wild life picture ever and I usually don't draw non anthropomorphic animals, so it was not that simple for me to do. X)
I drew this one without any references so there might be "some" mistakes but I'm still quite happy with it regarding the fact that it was my first time in a lot of aspects. The scan is quite crappy 'cause you can't see the texture (Stones!) of the brown ground and some other details ... :/
Anyways, I hope you like it. :)

Medium: pastel crayons & colored pencils on blue pastel crayon paper
Tags: fox life arctic wild alopex lagopus
Kakashi unmasked by Pan Hesekiel Shiroi

Yesterday I felt like trying something new ... a soft coloration with markers (I usually use them for cell shading or grounding). This was also the first time that I tried to make a so called "under painting".
I think for the first try I can be quite satisfied with the result, what do you think?

I was in the mood to draw another ACEO ... Quite similar to the tribal art fennec ACEO, but this time with another kind of tribal art, no knot design this time.
